BaccOff is the Healthy Chew

baccoff healthy fake dip

not only is it safe, it’s the healthy chew

Yup, that’s right,if you’re looking to quit tobacco and keep on dipping, BaccOff is the healthy chew (dip) for you. In this post, I’ll break down some of what sets BaccOff above the rest, including our commitment to quality ingredients and some of the potential health benefits of our main ingredients. BaccOff is a healthy smokeless tobacco alternative.

Quality Ingredients

Unlike many other tobacco-free dips, BaccOff is painstakingly formulated to avoid the use of certain additives that may be hazardous to your health, such as propylene glycol and artificial sweeteners like aspartame. We don’t rely on heavy syrups to assist in packing, and all of our ingredients undergo the most rigorous approval process before we’ll use them, making sure every can of BaccOff is a safe and healthy chew you can enjoy.

Other Possible Benefits

The main ingredient in each can of BaccOff is either peppermint or black tea. There’s a lot to be said about the goodness of these humble leaves. Let’s just say, there’s a reason people everywhere, from backwoods Alabama to China, love tea and peppermint!

Peppermint and tea are known to:

  • Freshen breath (your gal will appreciate that!)
  • Help maintain oral health
  • Rich in antioxidants, or polyphenols, which help detox and protect cells to boost your immune system
  • May help support healthy liver function and overall wellness
  • Help aid in digestion to promote a healthy appetite
  • May help you not fart so much (your gal will also thank you for that…)

Believe it or not, there are even more benefits, but these are the top ones in my opinion.

If you want to look more into the benefits of peppermint and tea, check out these articles:

Because I know how some people are, a little disclaimer: don’t go out and start consuming massive amounts of black tea. There can be negative side effects to over-consuming black tea.  (Although I think Southerners may have developed an immunity through the amounts of sweet tea they chug a day)

But the good news is the amount of tea in a can of BaccOff is the equivalent to 1 cup of tea, so you can easily go through 5 cans of BaccOff’s healthy chew in a day and not have to worry about a thing.

What about Sugar and Caffeine?

While we’re talking all things healthy chew, we often get dipper’s concerned about the caffeine levels in BaccOff. Each can has almost 98% less caffeine than an average cup of coffee (with the exception of our Energized and Mocha flavors—think energy drink or coffee in dip form). So for the average dipper, the levels of caffeine in our black tea based dips are a non-issue! If, however, your doc has a reason for you to avoid ALL caffeine, we’ve got a healthy chew for you too: our peppermint based Rough Cuts have zero caffeine OR sugar.

Tobacco and Nicotine Free

BaccOff is the healthy chew first and foremost because our dips are all 100%tobacco and nicotine free! With BaccOff, you can easily quit tobacco without ever having to give up dipping—and you (and your loved ones!) can rest easy knowing when you enjoy packing a lip, you’re choosing a healthy chew.

Guys, I love baccoff as far into the alternative game as I am. I use wintergreen rough cut and extra wintergreen fine cut. Flavor wise, there is a lack of complexity compared to tobacco. The Smokey, tangy flavor of grizzly fine cut wintergreen is a favorite for me but your product does the trick for sure.
What I really want to know is if y’all can make a fine cut peppermint based wintergreen. I love that the wintergreen rough cut is lacking the sugar and caffeine but the texture of the fine cut keeps me buying the extra wintergreen.
        Keep doing what you do!

my question is about the pouches:
what about the pouches either straight or natural – do they have any white table sugar in them?

Sorry to hear you were recently diagnosed with cancer John. Life is defiantly more important than tobacco, which is why we do what we do.

I need to know exactly how much sugar is in your original. We are trying to decide between the lesser of two evils here. My husband can not have SUGAR or Peppermint. Why in the world did you have to put sugar in there. He was so excited when he tried the original. Said he could def quit his Grizzly with Baccoff original. Then he read the ingredients and saw the sugar. 🙁

Been tobacco free (not nicotene, chewing 4mg nicotene gum) for almost two weeks after 25 years of a can every two days of Copenhagen Long Cut. I have tried all the other tobacco free alternatives with no luck. Your original energized is the closest thing that I have found to the real deal! It smells like shit and tastes like ass (not literally but close:) just like Copenhagen long cut! I love it! Just ordered 5 more cans to get me through. Now if I can ween off the nicotene gum, I’m going to be golden! Thanks so much for making this product.

I think this stuff is great. However I have a question regarding gums receding and lip lining. Since the dip does sit in between those two things, does the dip cause your gums to recede and or your lip lining to tear? I know with regular dip you get the dead skin from your lip and your gums recede. Just wanted to throw this out there and ask.

    1. Alex Swaim Alex Swaim

Are these bad to sit on your teeth? Will it give the user cavities? Also what about the sugar free? I’m not a tobacco user but I was intrigued with the flavors and the black tea ingredients you use. I thought it’d be cool to use instead of gum.

Peach only comes in a pouch at the moment, but we’re working on other cuts for it.

  13. Kenney Mann Kenney Mann

Very hopeful. I have dipped Copenhagen for a long time. Still waiting for the to cans to come in. I ended up getting peach pouches and mint rough cut. I am thinking I should have tried the mocha and apple but I didn’t.

Thanks to your product I have been tobacco free for 15 months from a 50 year smokeless tobacco habit.
I quit cold turkey and the fine cut original kept the oral fixation needs in check. I highly recommend it if you have made up your mind to quit.

Looking to see what the calorie count and sugar content are for the coffee products. Don’t want to mess up my interment fasting during the day. Thanks in advance

    1. Brian Brian

The Coffee Pouches have 1.6 g of sugar per can (.1 g per serving)
I think there are 6.5 calories per can, but I’ll have to double-check.

  16. SS SS

Ive chewed copenhagen for 42 yrs an quit cold turkey when a cancerous tumor was removed from my bladder. Was about to go nuts without it until my son in law found your product, my 1st can of your fine cut original and I’m amazed at how it satisfied my old habit. Hopefully another 42 yrs only this time with Baccoff! I know the rough cut has 0 sugar but how many grams of sugar per can in the fine cut original?

  17. Penn Miller Penn Miller

I’m curious how many mg of salt/sodium per can? I have a can of Rough Cut Original Wintergreen and noticed it has salt in the ingredients.

  18. Cjay Cjay

Does back off cause gums to be irritated similar to regular dip. Even though it’s healthy? Can baccoff help heal gums? Does it stain teeth?

    1. Tonya Tonya

Hi Cjay, Good news is Black tea and peppermint are known to be beneficial to oral health! We are everything you love about dipping with none of the risk!

Because of the color of the tea, sometimes it may stain just like regular tobacco especially with it sitting there for so long/repetitive use. That is why it is always recommended to brush your teeth immediately after using our product.

  19. Ron Ron

Hello. I know alot of the carcinogens in tobacco come from the aging and fermenting process of the tobacco. Does baccoff have chemicals in it other than the ingredients and is there an aging or fermenting process that could cause cancer from baccoff? Thanks

  20. Ronnie Sanford Ronnie Sanford

Thanks to Longhorn for jacking their prices up $.70 per can. Was paying 1.99 per can, came across your product with no tobacco and no nicotine. Decided to give it a try, loved it. Goodbye, Longhorn. Please note, if your company decides to jack up prices, remember who supports you. I have parted ways with many companies who have started out affordable and once established, started raping their customers for the all mighty dollar. Thanks for a great product, a new customer.
