Dip and Chewing tobacco prices vary per state (and city) and the cost is almost always a reflection on the state's tobacco tax. And, as you know, the smokeless tobacco brand affects the chewing tobacco price.

Here in Massachusetts it’s $11-$12.50 for a can depending on where you go. Hence the nickname TAXachusetts. Luckily I live a couple miles from the Rhode Island border so I go there once a week and get a couple sleeves of grizzly for less than $6 a can. Gas, tobacco, property, income, excise, etc, etc all the taxes here are through the roof. Highest in the nation. And the governemnt services those taxes supposedly pay for are no better (usually worse) than any other state.
i just paid 10.74 for a can of copenhagen long cut straight in carrabelle florida. i personally think they are price gouging because of fall break. this has got to stop
